Writing or discussion activity: After hearing about the medicine during the Civil War, what aspect of modern medical care are you most thankful of?

Writing or Discussion:  After looking at the medical equipment and hearing about medical practice from the Civil War what major differences do you see when thinking about current day medical care and equipment?
